My Wedding

A tale of romance, adventure, and cheese whiz

On April 23rd, 1999, I married Leslie R. Armagost, exactly four years after I met her and exactly three years after we were engaged.  Just like clockwork, I guess.  I think there's symbolism in there somewhere, but I couldn't exactly say.

Want to hear the whole gory story about how we met through to the happy ending?   Hey, it hasn't ended yet!  Maybe I'll tell it when it's a little closer to the ending.

In the mean time, I thought I'd put some nice pictures here.

Leslie_and_Todd1b.jpg (75564 bytes) Here's the canonical picture of Leslie and myself.  This is one of the wallet photos scanned in, so if you wanted one and didn't get one, here you go!   Unfortunately the scanner and image tools didn't do the best justice to skin tones, so we came out looking kind of ruddy.  Maybe I'll rescan it at some later date, though a little retouching definitely helped.

02-06-2000:  After ever such a long delay, I scanned some more of the proofs in, though again it looks like we had the gamma adjusted poorly.  They looked okay on Leslie's Mac, but pretty dark and reddish on my PC.  With a little effort, I clipped white borders, adjusted the image appearance and saved them to in the 200K vicinity each.  Even so, these puppies will take awhile to load, so they're presented with descriptions.

The Bachelor Party

For my bachelor's party, my friends took me to Washington, D.C., which was quite a drive!  We stayed at a nice hotel there and went to Dave & Buster's for the evening.  It was actually a terrific time and I highly recommend it rather than some of the more stereotypical bachelor party ideas.  I even came across a little book once about how to be the best man.  I recommend looking for stuff like that if you have no ideas.

The "morning after," we decided to just, well, hang out, at this glorious establishment.  Isn't it amazing how the camera can make a castle out of an IHOP? Upside_down.jpg (81491 bytes)
