Cade--December 2004

12-02-2004: Eighteen steps to "Daddy": Milestones for today:
Cade walked eighteen steps, from the corner of the bed, out the bedroom, to a little past the corner of the sink area and hallway, before leaning into the wall and falling down. He's walked about that much once or twice, but this time it seemed more controlled and he didn't keep stopping and starting, just eventually stopped, sort of stalled, and lost his balance.
Cade said "Daddy", kind of like "Daaaah--dee". This seemed quite deliberate, because we were trying to get him to say it after a spout of "dadadadadada". And he repeated it for us, on request, a minute later. We tried to get him to say "Mommy" to no avail. Soon, maybe!
